Most of Denver’s older housing stock was wired for a household that did not charge a car overnight. The charger itself is straightforward; the service feeding it often is not.
Start with the load calculation
A level-two charger is a continuous 40 to 48 amp load. On a 100-amp service already running a furnace and a range, that will not fit without either an upgrade or a load-management device.
Load management is often the cheaper answer
A device that throttles the charger when the rest of the house is busy can avoid a full service upgrade entirely. We price both so you can choose.
